Job Description:

He/She will play a key role in controlling and understanding the financial impact of a company’s operations. Their main purpose is to ensure that products, services, and projects are costed accurately so the business can make informed decisions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Focus on Plant Management Information System (MIS) - Prepare regular MIS reports covering profitability, budget vs. actual, operational KPIs, sales analysis, and expense tracking
  • MIS reports on downtime, inventory, metal balance sheet, metal consumption
  • Develop dashboards and trend reports to support strategic decision-making
  • Adhere to reporting processes and ensure timely submission of reports to management
  • Conduct variance analysis with insights and recommendations
  • Costing & Financial Analysis - Prepare and analyze product costing, variance analysis (standard vs. actual cost) covering all plant Operations
  • To do Project feasibility report prepration for India as well as outside india
  • Conduct profitability analysis at product, customer, and plant level
  • Track cost drivers and recommend cost optimization measures
  • Support new product costing, pricing decisions, and make/buy analysis
  • Knowledge of ratio analysis
  • Budgeting & Forecasting - Assist in annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term business planning
  • Monitor adherence to budgets and highlight deviations with corrective actions
  • Provide detailed analysis for overhead costs and departmental spend
  • Process & Data Management - Handle large and complex datasets
  • ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability
  • Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives in costing and MIS
  • Implement internal controls for data management and financial accuracy
  • ERP & Tools Expertise - Work on various SAP modules (MM, FICO)
  • Develop advanced Excel models, dashboards, and financial templates
  • Cross-functional Collaboration - Partner with manufacturing, sales, and procurement teams to gather insights
  • Support audits (internal & statutory) by providing costing and MIS data

Requirements:

  • BE/BTech (Electrical) MBA or Qualified ICWA
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • High accuracy and excellent time management
  • Knowledge of accounting and cost standards
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Standard costing theory (setting and analyzing cost standards)
  • Knowledge of Absorption vs. variable costing
  • Knowledge of Activity-Based Costing (ABC)
  • Knowledge of Marginal costing theory (contribution margin, break-even analysis)
  • Knowledge of Cost allocation and apportionment methods
  • Knowledge of Overhead absorption theory
  • Knowledge of Relevant costing for decision-making
  • Knowledge of Inventory valuation methods (FIFO, LIFO, weighted average)
