Job Description:

Lawes Consulting Group is partnered with a global broker seeking a proactive Corporate Account Handler – Team Leader for their Leeds office. This role involves managing a team of account handlers, fostering client relationships, and driving business opportunities.

Job Responsibility:

Lead, develop, and manage a team of corporate account handlers, ensuring optimal team performance and employee satisfaction
Manage a high-performing team that delivers exceptional client service and complies with industry standards
Oversee the management of complex commercial accounts, providing expert guidance and support
Serve as the senior point of contact for high-value clients
Drive business retention and growth initiatives by identifying cross-selling or upselling opportunities
Monitor team KPIs and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and industry regulations
Develop and implement training programs
Maintain clear communication between team members, clients, and senior management
Liaise with underwriters and insurers to negotiate the best products and terms for clients.

Requirements:

Proven experience in account handling, with a specific focus on commercial account handling in the corporate sector
Key leadership skills is essential
Demonstrated experience in managing and leading teams, with a track record of fostering an inclusive and equitable work environment
Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, policies, and market trends
Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills to ensure the professional development of team members
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effectively engaging with team members, clients, and senior leaders
Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Proficiency in using CRM systems, insurance-related software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
