Job Description:

Intake position supporting external client by working with new patient referrals, verifying patient health insurance benefits, obtaining authorizations for services, loading patient benefit information into client system, calculating pricing and running test claims, and communicating benefit information to external client.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support specific external client
  • Work with new patient referrals from external client
  • Verify patient health insurance benefits
  • Obtain initial and subsequent authorization for services if required
  • Load patient benefit information into client system
  • Calculate pricing and run test claims
  • Timely communication of benefit information to external client
  • Manage future dates for follow up action (e.g. reauthorizations)
  • Manage and track forms and other documentation needed by payer and/or requiring physician signature
  • Utilize home infusion software, payer portals and other systems
  • Professional and clear documentation of work product entered in client system

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of work experience in revenue cycle operations (eg: billing, collections, credits, cash etc)
  • 1+ years of experience in a professional environment
  • 1+ years of experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED is required

Nice to have:

  • Home infusion or durable medical equipment (DME) experience
  • Strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency
