The role is located in the central kitchen of Renaissance Sao Paulo Hotel, a part of Marriott International.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
Cook food according to recipes and quality standards
Operate cooking equipment such as ovens, stoves, and grills
Test foods for proper cooking
Monitor food quality and maintain proper portions
Clean and disinfect kitchen tools, equipment, and area
Follow company safety and security protocols
Maintain positive relationships with team members
Adhere to quality expectations and company standards
Perform additional duties as requested by supervisors.
Requirements:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
At least 1 year of related work experience
Ability to operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
Knowledge of food safety and quality standards
Ability to lift and move objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills
Professional appearance and adherence to company policies.
