Job Description:

Prepare ingredients for cooking and ensure the quality and consistency of food preparation while adhering to safety procedures. Operate kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness. Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive and professional work environment.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare ingredients for cooking
Ensure adherence to food presentation standards and quality expectations
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area and equipment
Follow safety and security procedures
Develop positive relationships with team members
Complete reasonable duties assigned by supervisors

Requirements:

Prepare ingredients for cooking
Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards
Prepare cold foods
Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently
Monitor food quality while preparing food
Set-up and break down work station
Serve food in proper portions
Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food
Follow safety and security policies and procedures
Report maintenance needs, accidents, and unsafe conditions
Maintain a clean and professional appearance
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period
Reach overhead and below the knees
Move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects under 25 pounds

Nice to have:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
At least 1 year of related work experience
