Job Description:

As a Cook II at the Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway Hotel, you will prepare and cook food in alignment with recipes and quality standards, assist with ingredient preparation, operate a variety of kitchen equipment, and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment. This role also involves collaborating with a team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards
operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
monitor food quality
clean and organize the kitchen area, tools, tables, and equipment
ensure food safety and correct cooking temperatures
follow safety and security policies and procedures
maintain professionalism and positive working relationships with the team
perform other job duties as requested by supervisors

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
at least 1 year of related work experience
ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
no supervisory experience required
