Job Description:

Cook II-Overnight position at Sheraton Puerto Rico Resort & Casino involves preparing and cooking food according to recipes and standards, operating kitchen equipment, maintaining food quality, and adhering to safety policies. Collaborate with a global team in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and food preparation checklist
operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
test foods to ensure proper cooking
monitor food quality
set-up and break down work stations
serve food in proper portions
wash and disinfect kitchen area, tools, and equipment
ensure proper temperature of appliances and food
report maintenance needs, accidents, and unsafe conditions
complete safety training and certifications
maintain clean and professional appearance
maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
at least 1 year of related work experience
no supervisory experience required
clear and professional communication skills
ability to lift and carry objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or entire work shift
adherence to safety and company policies.
