Job Description:

Cook II position at The Westin Pittsburgh involves preparing ingredients for cooking, operating kitchen equipment, following company safety policies, and maintaining professional standards while performing food and beverage-related tasks.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare ingredients for cooking
Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
Monitor food quality while preparing food
Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
Serve food in proper portions
Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tools, and equipment
Follow company policies and safety procedures
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Develop and maintain positive working relationships
Reach overhead and below the knees
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 25 pounds without assistance
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
At least 1 year of related work experience
