Having relocated from the UK to the Algarve three years ago, the family is now well settled and in a period of significant transition, selling UK assets, expanding their entrepreneurial interests and building out a family office and charitable foundation focused on early years education. This role will be truly transformative, acting as the operational backbone across business, investments and personal matters.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting the establishment of a family office and charitable foundation, with scope to recruit additional team members over time
  • Travelling to the Algarve approximately every 4-6 weeks to work face-to-face and map out the weeks ahead
  • Acting as a consistent, trusted and empathetic presence – firm when needed, supportive always

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a COO, Senior EA, Chief of Staff or similar senior support role
  • Fluent Portuguese and English (essential)
  • Exceptionally organised, structured and consistent, with the confidence to push back when required
  • Calm, empathetic and trustworthy, with strong emotional intelligence
  • Comfortable managing a fast thinking, highly creative Principal
  • Able to bring discipline, clarity, and execution without stifling creativity
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Long-term mindset, with a desire to grow alongside the family’s ventures
  • A high level of self-motivation and comfortable working remotely with regular international travel
