Job Description:

The Controller will be an integral part of our team, responsible for overseeing the accounting functions, utilizing various software systems, and ensuring the utmost accuracy in all financial services.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls
Ensure accurate and timely financial data for management and external reporting
Lead system improvements impacting financial processes
Develop and mentor accounting teams to support internal stakeholders
Collaborate with Grant Accounting and FP&A on reporting needs
Maintain strong communication and relationships with internal stakeholders
Manage external audits and tax filing processes
Contribute to strategic and operational initiatives as needed

Requirements:

10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in leadership overseeing multiple functions (revenue, AR, AP, payroll, etc.)
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
CPA credential and/or public accounting experience preferred
Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex analyses to all management levels and external parties
Proven leadership, influencing, and negotiation skills
Hands-on, resourceful, and collaborative approach to problem-solving and goal achievement
Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently
Detail-oriented, results-driven, and focused on process improvements
Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and perform under pressure
High proficiency in Excel and experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
