An established manufacturing and technology organization is seeking an experienced Controller to lead corporate accounting, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning for a multifaceted business unit. This role is a key member of the leadership team, partnering closely with the General Manager and cross-functional leaders to drive financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and long-term business performance. Job Responsibility:
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with corporate policies, GAAP, SOX, and internal controls
Manage forecasting and reporting for executive leadership
Support internal and external audits, including leases, revenue recognition, and intercompany activities
Lead annual budgeting, standard costing, and long-range planning processes
Provide financial analysis, operational insights, and monthly business review packages
Support capital planning, scenario modeling, and performance improvement initiatives
Maintain effective planning and cost-control procedures
Monitor production costs, inventory valuation, and variance analysis
Analyze excess/obsolete inventory and recommend actions
Identify cost‑reduction opportunities and track performance improvements
Report financial impacts of inventory adjustments and reserves
Deliver financial insights to support strategic initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on automation, process improvements, and operational reviews
Prepare detailed reporting on demand planning, revenue forecasts, and account performance
Support short- and long-term projects that drive organizational success
Oversee external audit preparation and limited-scope internal audits
Maintain strong internal control systems and accounting processes
Ensure effective resource management and operational alignment within the finance team
Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team
Help shape corporate financial strategy and organizational goals
Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and professional growth within the department
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)
CPA, CMA, or similar certification preferred
10+ years of progressive experience in finance, controllership, or financial leadership—manufacturing experience strongly preferred
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data
Experience with ERP systems, advanced Excel, and financial modeling
Demonstrated success leading and developing teams
Strong communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across departments
Ability to occasionally travel as needed
