Job Description:

The Proposal and Contracts Manager oversees the full lifecycle of customer and supplier contracts, including review, negotiation, and compliance. The role involves collaboration, leadership, and process improvement, with a focus on external contracts in the aviation industry.

Job Responsibility:

Lead a team in preparing cost estimates and proposals
Manage contract review, negotiation, approval, and closeout
Draft and interpret contract documents and terms
Serve as the main point of contact for customer inquiries and proposals
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate proposals
Maintain contract records and ensure compliance with terms and policies
Mentor and support team members, ensuring effective leadership and performance
Drive process improvements and adapt to industry changes
Implement and develop performance metrics such as number of quotes in process, average turnaround time, quotes per estimator, post-mortem analysis

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in applicable Engineering or Business field
5+ Years of Contracts Experience or applicable experience in supply chain, engineering, or operations
MRP or ERP system experience preferred
Aviation background preferred
Microsoft Dynamics AX, Excel, any large ERP system experience preferred

Nice to have:

Aviation background
experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX, any large ERP systems, or MS Navision
