Job Description:

Our client is a corporation seeking an experienced Contracts Attorney to join its legal team. In this role, you'll review, draft, and advise internal business and management teams on a wide range of contracts and agreements. This role is perfect for someone who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and confident in making complex legal recommendations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review various commercial and residential agreements such as master services agreements, amendments to existing customer agreements, RFPs, leases, non-disclosure agreements, subcontractor agreements, and vendor agreements
  • Consistently assess potential risks, benefits, and consequences of decisions, presenting alternatives and proposed solutions to the management team
  • Advise on legal risks and mitigation strategies associated with remediation activities and general services contracts
  • Present formal and informal training sessions to staff about contractual issues, legal risk, and company policies and procedures concerning the legal and contractual requirements
  • Collaborate with various business units, promoting the understanding of contract processes, identifying needs and improvements
  • Support the negotiation process of contracts with customers, suppliers, and partners minimizing potential contract risks

Requirements:

  • Law degree from an accredited law school is required
  • Proven experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts
  • Excellent understanding of legal requirements for different types of contracts
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and residential property laws, RFPs, leases, and non-disclosure agreements
  • Experience with construction related contracts is highly desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
