Queensland is a major part of their operation, and they now need a Contract Manager to lead from the front, own outcomes, and strengthen profitability statewide. As Contract Manager, you will maximise operational efficiency while controlling costs and strengthening the client service offering. You will be confident working with financial reports, monitoring trends, and ensuring assets and budgets are used effectively. You will also support the delivery of company objectives, in line with the direction of senior management.
Job Responsibility:

Ensure the teams are aware of the expectations placed on their position
Ensure the teams are trained and are competent within their positions
Cross training for team members
Perform &/or Evaluate periodical reviews of all team members
Proactively manage leave coverage and arrange contingencies as and when required
Perform position & department analysis to ensure competency and continuous improvement within the teams
Hold capability, knowledge & understanding of company inhouse systems required for the performance of the operation & client services
Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors and internal employees to problem solve & rectify any situations promptly and utilising a big picture lens
Proactively communicate with the clients, management, employees and Fleet owners/ drivers
Contact Corporate employees for support and assistance when required
Ensure all run sheets and Fatigue Management are checked and non-compliance’ acted upon
Continually review current gross profit trend and projections to ensure the operation is on track for the gross profit target
Requirements:
Minimum three (3) years’ experience within a similar position or Minimum of five (5) years within the transport & 3PL operations including two (2) years of management experience
Contract Manager Experience
Minimum Certificate IV Business &/or Industry related discipline
Driver’s License (Car)
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail
Financial & Statistical analysis creation and interpretation
Devise and implement risk mitigation strategies
Advance Computer skills
Intermediate to Advanced M365 Office product experience (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong interpersonal skills to de-escalate situations and lead the team by example
Resilience and hold hard conversations, make tough decisions impassively but compassionately
Face challenges and continue through to resolution
