Job Description:

A boutique New York-based law firm is seeking contract litigation associates with 3+ years of experience to support its growing caseload in administrative law and guardianship matters. This is a fully remote position, open to attorneys licensed in New Jersey. Duration: 3-4 months.

Job Responsibility:

  • Legal Research: Analyze statutes, regulations, and case law to support litigation strategy
  • Drafting: Prepare pleadings, motions, letters, and other legal documents
  • Client Communication: Respond to client inquiries and provide updates with professionalism and clarity
  • Litigation Prep: Assist with case preparation, including organizing exhibits and preparing for hearings
  • Letter Writing: Draft correspondence to courts, clients, and opposing counsel
  • Volume Work: Manage a high-volume caseload with efficiency and attention to detail
  • Discovery: Limited
  • this role is not discovery heavy

Requirements:

  • Licensed and in good standing in New Jersey
  • 3+ years of litigation experience, with some experience in guardianship, elder law, or administrative law
  • Comfortable with first-year associate-level work under the guidance of senior attorneys
  • Strong writing, research, and organizational skills
  • Responsive, reliable, and able to work independently in a remote setting
  • Proactive communicator who asks questions and uses available resources effectively
