Job Description:

Uber is evolving the way the world moves by integrating advanced intelligence into every facet of our global platform to create more intuitive and proactive experiences. We are establishing a core leadership group to define how the next generation of AI-driven interactions will scale across our flagship products and physical-world logistics. We are looking for a strategic coach/player—a content designer with deep AI fluency and the organizational maturity to architect Uber's intelligence layer. You are a systems thinker comfortable in the trenches of high-fidelity craft and capable of rallying global teams around a shared vision.

Job Responsibility:

  • Partner within a high-density senior design pod to define the design strategy for intelligent experiences and agentic behaviors across the user journey
  • Drive the evolution of standards for content and conversation design for AI, translating flagship innovations into scalable frameworks that empower teams across the organization
  • Establish a unified horizontal AI strategy, partnering with vertical product teams to ensure localized experiments align with a cohesive global design language
  • Solve the complex product experience challenges of non-deterministic systems, developing processes and tools to evaluate content and user experience in AI interaction
  • Demonstrate agility and thrive in ambiguity, successfully navigating diverse tasks and responsibilities across various initiatives within the Uber AI charter
  • Partner with Engineering and Product to shape the AI roadmap, advocating for design-led technical investments that enable proactive, human-centered behaviors
  • Show proactive leadership and stakeholder management, driving collaboration across teams
  • Guide and support fellow colleagues by sharing expertise in AI, content design, and conversation design

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in content design, UX writing, conversation design, or product content strategy
  • Direct experience researching Generative AI features, LLM-driven interfaces, or multi-step agentic workflows in a consumer-facing context
  • Deep understanding of LLM capabilities, latency, and multimodal inputs
  • Technically curious and experimental, with a proven ability to translate frontier technologies into tangible product experiences
  • Proven ability to drive organizational alignment across diverse product verticals through collaborative leadership and consensus-building
  • Strong ability to communicate complex product visions and tradeoffs to stakeholders, with the ability to advocate for content decisions
  • Adept at navigating extreme ambiguity and leading 0-1 initiatives with the strategic agility to recalibrate in response to shifting technical paradigms
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
What we offer:
  • Eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program
  • May be offered an equity award & other types of comp
  • All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan
  • Eligible for various benefits (details at https://jobs.uber.com/en/benefits)
