Job Description:

My client, a financial institution in Norcross, is searching for a Consumer Loan Processor to join their team for an immediate, direct-hire opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and auditing secured and unsecured consumer loan requests, including credit cards, to ensure compliance with company policies and federal regulations. You will also handle loan documentation, disbursements, and assist with other loan-related functions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Verify the accuracy of loan rates, loan-to-value ratios, and vehicle values for auto, boat, motorcycle, and RV loans
  • Ensure all required documentation and underwriting conditions are met, including income verification, buyers’ orders, membership accounts, insurance, payoff letters, and other necessary documents
  • Upload and send documents for electronic signature to borrowers
  • Process signed documents, disburse funds, and facilitate payments to dealerships or finance companies
  • Review disbursed loans and organize them according to the loan checklist, ensuring all necessary documents are imaged
  • Set up loan payments using the Teller Platform
  • Provide assistance to members with loan or account-related inquiries
  • Assist in processing Adverse Action letters and sending them to members
  • Help ensure that approved credit card approval letters are sent and coordinate with the Card Services team for new account processing
  • Act as a backup for title clerk duties as needed
  • Meet assigned deadlines and maintain a high level of job knowledge through training
  • Contribute to the organization's mission and values
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in consumer loan processing, documentation, and/or origination
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with keyboarding, PC, and 10-key calculator
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and relationship-building
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and competing demands
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Basic understanding of fractions, percentages, and ratios
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and flexibility to work overtime when necessary
  • Ability to read and interpret data effectively
  • Must obtain a Notary Public license within 3 months of employment
