Construction Project Manager

• Participate and contribute to the development in the Cluster to engage with designers and contractors
• Work closely with Procurement to identify the best IKEA procurement strategies
• Work closely with Engineering to optimize and innovate project methods
• Ensure Health and Safety including IWAY compliance
• Ensure external partners understand Construction frameworks and guidelines
• Ensure project budget estimates and time schedules are in place
• Secure procurement, contractors, permits, budgets and cost follow-up for the project
• Provide technical and cost input to internal Ingka partners
• Ensure satisfactory handover of completed areas for retail build-up
• Ensure commissioning, testing, training and handover of technical and building systems to building facilities co-workers.

• Academic degree in engineering or architecture, or equivalent working experience
• Several years in contracting and/or consulting and/or owners/clients role involving construction projects
• Previous experience in construction management on site
• Experience in procurement processes and contract negotiations
• Experience within the retail sector is an advantage
• Knowledge of business risk management
• Knowledge of project and construction management
• Knowledge of software relevant for construction (e.g., MS Project, Autodesk, Projectplace, Hummingbird, AutoCad, Revit, Navisworks, Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Knowledge of cost control
• Knowledge of timeline management
• Knowledge of construction procurement and market
• Knowledge of permission process
• Knowledge of construction market development and trends
• Knowledge of construction HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment)
• Knowledge of property safety
• Knowledge of quality management in construction
• Knowledge of construction contracts and legal issues
• Knowledge of sustainable construction
• Lifecycle assessments and knowledge about BREEAM and LEED
• Fluent in Czech and English.

Experience within the retail sector.
