Job Description:

As a Configuration & Logistics Engineer, you translate the technical product documentation from our customers into an optimally configured internal production process. You ensure that our digital product structures (M-BOMs) seamlessly align with the reality on the shop floor. This makes you a key figure for a smooth production process, minimal stocks, and short lead times.

Job Responsibility:

  • Translating customer E-BOMs into production-oriented M-BOMs in the PLM system (Windchill)
  • Setting up and maintaining article data, bill of materials, and parameters in the ERP system
  • Responsible for correct configuration management of product data and changes
  • Identifying and implementing changes in consultation with Project and Product Management
  • Visualizing the impact on inventory, work in progress, and production
  • Collaborating with engineering, supply chain, and production to ensure data quality
  • Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of logistics processes

Requirements:

  • Intermediate vocational education (MBO+) / higher professional education (HBO) level, preferably in a technical or logistics field
  • Experience with ERP systems and product structures (such as BOMs and article data)
  • Affinity with PLM systems (such as Windchill) is a plus
  • You work accurately, in a structured manner, and are data-driven
  • You have an affinity with technical products and production environments
  • Strong in analyzing, collaborating, and improving
  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
