Job Responsibility:
Manage, develop and mentor a staff of seasonal and part-time concessions employees including initiating employee discipline
Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to doors including inventory verification and sanitation standards
Provide high level of oversight and operational expertise for smooth event execution
Oversee inventory management, product ordering and high volume sales
Manage all venue concessions operations before, during and after events including staff scheduling, equipment inspection, POS monitoring, guest complaint resolution, training, food production, clean-up and reporting
Train new and current employees on property procedures and best practices
Provide direction and oversight to Concessions Supervisors, Stand Managers, Cooks and Cashiers ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations
Complete post-event evaluations, data tracking and reporting
Maintain a safe, harassment-free work environment and address safety concerns
Ensure event staff and volunteers are aware of workplace expectations and provide ongoing support and mentoring
Obtain working knowledge of all concession locations including equipment and evacuation procedures
Requirements:
Associate's degree or higher in Culinary Management, Business Management, or related field
3-5 years of concessions management or food and beverage management experience
Equivalent of four or more years of concessions supervision may substitute degree requirement
Solid knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office, POS systems, and timekeeping software
Experience in training employees and volunteers
Advanced inventory control skills
Experience ordering product for high-volume venues
Excellent communication skills
Ability to make quick operational decisions under pressure
Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
Thorough knowledge of sanitation, food safety, alcohol service, and safety standards
Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory
Commitment to professional ethics and confidentiality
Preferred certifications in food service sanitation and alcohol service
Nice to have:
Preferred nationally recognized food service sanitation certification
Preferred nationally recognized alcohol service certification
