Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented COMSEC Technician to provide critical technical assistance for missile telemetry operations. This role involves the hands-on management of COMSEC keys, technical documentation for test missions, and the maintenance of secure data archives. The ideal candidate will support both local and off-station test events, ensuring mission-critical security protocols are met. Note that the primary work location for this position is in a secure vault.

Job Responsibility:

  • Control COMSEC for missile telemetry
  • Perform the loading and unloading of COMSEC keys before and after test missions
  • Provide on-site support for local test missions and travel for off-station test events as required
  • Assist in the creation of comprehensive test plans and formal test reports
  • Produce and maintain test-related databases, spreadsheets, and graphics
  • Catalog post-test products including data transfers, test summaries, and letter reports
  • Manage a digital archive for all test-related imagery and video

Requirements:

  • 3 to 10 years of experience and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an applicable discipline
  • Must hold an active secret security clearance with a tier 5 background investigation and be eligible for Special Access Programs (SAP) access
  • Experience with commonly used DoW COMSEC equipment and key management infrastructure
  • Familiarity and Ability to Manage Vault Operations, serving as a Safe Custodian and responsible for maintaining the Alarm Letter for secure vault access
  • Strong technical writing skills and proficiency in database management
  • Must hold and maintain necessary Government and commercial driver’s licenses
  • Ability to support irregular hours based on mission test windows and travel for off-station support
