Job Description:

Implement livelihood promotion projects in villages with focus on livestock (primarily cattle) based enterprise development programs for dairy.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collect data for baseline, midline, endline or any other need assessment studies
  • Mobilize & support participatory planning using PRA tools
  • Mobilize women, farmers from SHGs/FPOs and others who are having atleast-1-2 cattle
  • Formation of Dairy producer groups, Dairy Interest groups
  • Conduct regular meetings of the producer groups
  • Facilitate regular capacity building programs for the producer groups
  • Maintain records of meetings in the register
  • Facilitate bank account opening of the producer groups if necessary
  • Identify farmers for cross breed cattle induction, AI, skill development and fodder demonstration activities
  • Managing the revolving fund for Cattle Induction as per the set SOP/Guidelines
  • Regular follow up with farmers for repayment of revolving funds
  • Ensuring revolving funds are utilized only for the purpose of high-quality breed induction
  • Support in conducting awareness generation and veterinary camps
  • Facilitate regular vaccination and deworming drives
  • Maintain farmer wise cattle health and milk production data
  • Liaising with the local Panchayats, Blocks, Prani Mitra, Prani Bandhu and other relevant stakeholders
  • Identify farmers for convergence with relevant govt. schemes and partnership with like-minded organization
  • Any-other work assigned by the Project Coordinator, Veterinary Doctors and Program Manager
