Job Description:

The role of Commis at Marriott Yeouido Park Centre Seoul involves food preparation and cooking, ensuring quality and presentation standards, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and fostering teamwork and adherence to policies.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
test foods to determine if they are cooked sufficiently
monitor food quality while preparing food
set up and break down work stations
serve food in proper portions
wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
ensure temperature of appliances and food are correct
follow safety and security policies
report maintenance needs, accidents, and unsafe work conditions
ensure personal appearance is clean and professional
develop positive relationships with others
support the team to reach goals
listen and respond to colleagues appropriately.

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
at least 1 year of related work experience
ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
ability to lift objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
no supervisory experience required.
