Job Description:

Prepare and cook food, manage food safety compliance, assist in maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen, and support team goals in the culinary department

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards, and food prep checklists
prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use
safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods
follow compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene
check kitchen appliance and food temperatures, and report issues to management
wash and disinfect kitchen areas, set-up and break-down workstations, and follow compliance with sanitation procedures
monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served throughout shift
report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals
comply with quality expectations and standards
move and handle objects weighing less than 25 pounds without assistance
move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
perform assigned tasks as requested by supervisors

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
less than 1-year related work experience
eligible for individuals with working rights in Fiji
