Job Description:

The Commis I at Marriott Executive Apartments Bengaluru UB City will prepare and cook food according to recipes, maintain quality and portion standards, and assist in kitchen operations. They will also contribute to maintaining safety, security, and company standards while fostering a positive and professional work environment.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare special meals or substitute items
regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator
ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
maintain food logs
monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared
communicate assistance needed during busy periods
inform Chef of excess food items
inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out of stock menu items
ensure the quality of food items
prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and checklist
prepare cold foods
assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees
follow company and safety policies
report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
ensure uniform and appearance are professional
anticipate and address guests’ service needs
speak with others professionally
develop and maintain positive team relationships
support team goals
ensure adherence to quality standards.

Requirements:

Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
at least 3 years of related work experience
no supervisory experience required.
