Commis Chef

• Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to recipes/menu
• Assist in preparation and cooking of fresh pasta dishes
• Cook food and prepare top-quality menu items in a timely manner
• Test foods to ensure proper preparation and temperature
• Ensure the proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage containers
• Work calmly and accurately under pressure
• Be interested and skilled in food provenance, quality produce and seasonality
• Work cleanly, safely and responsibly to health and safety standards
• Have a keen eye for detail
• Work within a team and support senior chefs

• Great teamwork skills and attention to detail
• Positive outlook and outgoing personality
• Passion for Italian cuisine, especially pasta
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
• Enthusiastic, reliable and eager to learn
• Previous similar kitchen experience is a big plus
• Ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs

• Ensuring a professional appearance in a clean uniform
