Job Description:

Our client, a well-established brokerage, is expanding their team and looking for a Commercial Schemes Account Handler. This role involves managing a range of commercial insurance products, particularly within their specialist nursery team. You’ll be supporting both commercial and personal lines as part of a busy team. The role is office-based with flexibility to work from home when needed.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and review commercial schemes and policies
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and insurers
  • Handle new business, renewals, and adjustments for clients
  • Work with insurers to get competitive quotes and terms
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
  • Provide excellent customer service and support the team when needed
  • Respond to client queries and process policy changes
  • Liaise with insurers and clients for quotes and policy details
  • Ensure smooth handling of accounts, including renewals and adjustments
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance
  • Support the team and share best practices

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years experience in commercial insurance, ideally working with schemes
  • Experience with commercial lines (property, liability, etc.)
  • Exposure to personal lines would be useful but not essential
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
  • Strong team player with good IT skills
