Job Description:

At NP Aerospace, we’re offering an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Commercial Apprentice to develop essential business administration and commercial skills in a fast-paced, global defence organisation. You’ll gain first-hand experience supporting contracts, procurement, and customer relationships — learning how large-scale defence programmes are managed from proposal through to delivery. This is the ideal role for someone with a keen interest in business operations, administration, and commercial management who’s ready to learn and grow within a supportive environment. Successful apprentices will have the opportunity to progress into permanent positions within NP Aerospace once the apprenticeship is complete.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide administrative support for contracts, tenders, and supplier documentation
  • Assist with the preparation of pricing, quotations, and financial tracking spreadsheets
  • Help maintain accurate project records, reports, and correspondence
  • Support supplier engagement and procurement activities, including order processing
  • Conduct market research and help prepare presentations and commercial summaries
  • Liaise with internal teams across Finance, Operations, Procurement, and Sales
  • Learn how to support compliance, export controls, and documentation for defence projects

Requirements:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English and ICT at grade 4/C or above
  • Further study (A-Level, BTEC, or equivalent) in a business-related subject (preferred)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong administrative and IT skills, with confidence using Microsoft Office
  • A proactive, organised, and detail-focused approach to work
  • A genuine interest in developing a career in business administration or commercial management
What we offer:
  • full employee benefits
  • Practical workplace experience while working towards a recognised qualification
  • Mentorship from experienced commercial and procurement professionals
  • The chance to contribute to programmes with global impact
  • Access to NP Aerospace’s employee benefits package
