Job Responsibility:

  • Assisting Colour Matcher in pre-press colour matching for upcoming work orders
  • Reading specs from dockets to identify ink colours required, and prioritize jobs
  • Formulating colours using ink dispenser
  • Maintaining job filing system and job costing
  • Using GT and other computerized systems such as Novaflow and X-Rite
  • Transporting ink and other materials to and from the Ink Room
  • Maintaining cleanliness of equipment and area
  • Adhering to all Health & Safety and Environmental Regulations

Requirements:

  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to read, write and understand English information and instructions
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice to have:

  • Prior knowledge of the print industry
  • Press experience
  • Completion of printing program/diploma
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Prior manufacturing experience with exposure to conveyor/assembly equipment
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Previous bag making experience
