Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Collections Specialist to join our team in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing outstanding accounts while maintaining positive customer relationships. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in financial collections and customer service who thrives in a fast-paced environment

Job Responsibility:

Contact customers to address overdue accounts and negotiate payment solutions
Accurately document all interactions and account updates in the system
Analyze customer accounts to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
Adhere to federal, state, and company regulations and policies related to collections
Provide guidance and constructive feedback to less experienced team members as needed
Utilize specialized software, including Microsoft Word and other collections tools, to manage accounts efficiently
Resolve customer inquiries and disputes promptly, ensuring a high level of service
Collaborate with internal teams to streamline the collections process and improve outcomes
Monitor and report on key performance metrics related to debt recovery
Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory changes

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Proficient in verbal and written communication with strong negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Familiarity with federal and state regulations governing collections processes
Experience using Microsoft Word and other relevant software applications
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documenting customer information
Demonstrated success in debt recovery and resolving account issues
