Job Description:

A vacancy for a Cockpit and Ground Control System Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe. The successful applicant will join “Cockpit and Ground Control Systems”. The department is in charge of Displays and Control activities for manned aircrafts and Ground Control Station developments for unmanned ones. This vacancy is specially devoted to Eurodrone Project (GSCCS WP Leader), so, experience in Avionics technologies will be valuable.

Job Responsibility:

  • Systems definition for Cockpit and Ground Control Station
  • Operational requirements analysis and systems architecture definition
  • Specification of functional and equipment requirements
  • Generation and maintenance of the design documentation (e.g. interface control documents, requirements documents, test protocols, etc.)
  • Generation of systems specifications
  • Supplier management tasks (manufacturer monitoring, qualification monitoring, etc.)
  • High Level Software specifications
  • Integration, validation and verification tasks of avionics
  • Contribution to Safety and Security analysis, Certification and Qualification activities
  • Support to Services

Requirements:

  • Degree level in Engineering (Telecommunications, Aerospace or Information Technology Engineer)
  • Professional experience within engineering: 5 to 7 years
  • System Engineering experience
  • Airworthiness and certification processes experience
  • Embedded SW design and development
  • Model Based System Engineering experience will be valuable
  • Team worker and proactive
  • Highly motivated to learn and do new things
  • Good communication skills and ability to work within an international team
