Job Description:

The position involves preparing and cooking food, following recipes and safety standards, ensuring food quality, maintaining positive relationships with team members, and adhering to company policies. Marriott values inclusivity, diversity, and providing opportunities to its associates.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and food preparation checklist
serve food in proper portions
wash and disinfect kitchen areas
check and ensure correctness of food and equipment temperatures
follow safety policies and procedures
maintain positive relationships and respond to employee concerns
adhere to quality expectations and standards
perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pulling.

Requirements:

Prepare ingredients for cooking
wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards
operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
test foods to determine if sufficiently cooked
monitor food quality while preparing food
set-up and break down work station
serve food in proper portions
wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment
check and ensure correctness of temperatures of appliances and food
follow company safety policies
report maintenance needs, accidents, and unsafe conditions
complete safety training and certifications
maintain uniform and professional appearance
develop positive working relationships
adhere to quality standards
perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and pulling up to 25 pounds
perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

Nice to have:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
at least 1 year of related work experience.
