Job Description:

Xpert Resourcing is working with a Manufacturing Client based on the outskirts of Ely within a purpose-built facility. who are looking for a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator. This is an exciting time to join the business as it grows with the opportunity for further training and career progression. The ideal candidate will have previous CNC Milling experience.

Job Responsibility:

  • Set up, operate, and program CNC milling machines
  • Read and interpret technical engineering drawings
  • Maintain high-quality standards with close tolerances
  • Conduct in-process inspection using measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues as required
  • Work to deadlines while maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller (minimum 2 years preferred)
  • Ability to program/edit using CNC controls
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Apprenticeship or relevant mechanical engineering qualification is desirable
