Job Description:

We are looking for a CNC Milling Machinist to fully machine complex components and ensure quality and on time delivery.

Job Responsibility:

  • Fully machine parts as required using 3-axis and 5-axis VMC’s
  • Ensure quality of parts is to a high standard
  • Ensure on time delivery
  • Load offline programs and liaise with production engineer to optimise set up
  • Save all programs and set up sheets after every job
  • Assist Shift leaders and engineers with any tooling or material requirements
  • Safe operations of machines, tools and equipment
  • Ensure workshop standards are maintained and machines are kept clean at all times

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role with a background working within a small batch / prototype manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Matsuura, DMG or Colchester machines preferable
  • A working knowledge of Heidenhain and Fanuc controls
  • Preferred industry would be Motorsport, Aerospace or research and development
  • Flexibility, a positive outlook and pro-active approach is essential
  • Ability to work reliably under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Well organised and a good communicator
  • May be required to work extended hours or weekends
