Job Description:

We’re on the lookout for a skilled Cloud Support Engineer to join a dynamic technology team. You’ll play a pivotal role in providing technical support, ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and optimisation of cloud systems while working closely with internal teams and customers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide technical support for AWS cloud services, assisting customers with issues and inquiries
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve cloud-related incidents, escalating complex issues as needed
  • Manage and track support tickets using service desk tools
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks including updates, patches, and backups to ensure cloud system health
  • Monitor cloud environments proactively, identifying and addressing potential issues
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud configurations, incidents, and resolutions
  • Collaborate with team members to implement best practices and improve system performance
  • Provide guidance and training to customers on AWS tools, features, and best practices
  • Ensure cloud systems adhere to security and compliance standards, conducting audits and implementing necessary controls
  • Analyse system performance and implement optimisations to maximise efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call roster

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in cloud support or similar technical roles
  • Proven hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting cloud environments
  • Experience with service desk or ticketing systems
  • Knowledge of cloud monitoring tools and practices
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Familiarity with cloud security practices and compliance requirements
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Based in Melbourne

Nice to have:

Experience with automation tools or scripting (Python, Bash)
