Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Architect with deep expertise in AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) and AWS DataZone to join our cloud engineering team. The ideal candidate will design, build, and optimize scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions, focusing on infrastructure as code (IaC) using AWS CDK and implementing enterprise data governance strategies using AWS DataZone.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and implement scalable cloud architectures using AWS services and infrastructure as code with AWS CDK (TypeScript/Python preferred)
  • Lead the adoption and integration of AWS DataZone, defining data cataloging, governance, and discovery strategies across the organization
  • Translate business and technical requirements into cloud solutions that are secure, reliable, cost-optimized, and aligned with industry best practices
  • Work collaboratively with data engineers, developers, and DevOps teams to build CI/CD pipelines for cloud resources using CDK
  • Define and implement tagging, access control, and metadata strategies in AWS DataZone for effective data management and governance
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams on CDK patterns, reusable constructs, and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational data governance standards through DataZone policies and permissions
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and security posture of deployed cloud environments
  • Create architecture documentation, diagrams, and operational guides for cloud-based solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and AWS platform
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS CDK (TypeScript, Python, or Java)
  • Proven experience with AWS DataZone, including domain and catalog setup, access control, and data discovery workflows
  • Deep understanding of AWS core services: EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Glue, Lake Formation, and others
  • Solid background in DevOps practices and tools (Git, CodePipeline, CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.)
  • Experience in implementing data governance frameworks in cloud environments
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Nice to have:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
  • Experience integrating AWS DataZone with Lake Formation, Glue, and Redshift
  • Familiarity with data mesh or federated data governance models
  • Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, finance)
