Job Description:

Band 8a Clinical Pharmacist role in South London NHS Hospital supporting surgical and medical ward patients. Ongoing locum contract with Monday to Friday schedule (9am-5pm).

Job Responsibility:

Perform comprehensive clinical medication reviews
Optimise pharmacotherapy for complex surgical and medical inpatients
Deliver evidence-based pharmaceutical care to improve patient outcomes
Work closely with consultants, junior doctors, nurses, and the wider MDT
Ensure safe prescribing, supply, and administration of medicines
Maintain accurate, compliant patient records

Requirements:

Current and valid GPhC registration
Substantial experience in an NHS hospital, covering surgical and medical wards
Strong clinical knowledge and medicines optimisation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient care
