Job Description:

Hunter AHP is currently recruiting for a Locum Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist to join a highly regarded NHS hospital in Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated pharmacist to take on a long-term, full-time contract with scope to transition into a permanent role.

Job Responsibility:

Providing clinical pharmacy input across Care of the Elderly, General Medicine, and Surgical wards
Medicines reconciliation and clinical screening for inpatients and discharges
Advising medical and nursing staff on appropriate prescribing and medicines optimisation
Supporting safe and effective use of high-risk drugs and IV therapies
Reviewing antimicrobial prescribing in line with trust guidelines
Liaising with the wider MDT to ensure continuity of patient care

Requirements:

GPhC registration as a Pharmacist
Previous NHS hospital experience working at Band 7
Confidence working independently across general medical and surgical specialties
Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
Strong clinical knowledge and a proactive approach to patient care
