Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is Preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification
Certification is required to demonstrate competency in the performance of duties specific to infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
Must be knowledgeable of HIV, and Sexual Transmitted Diseases

Job Responsibility

Triage patient
Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization
Escorts patients to the exam room and prepares a patient for an exam
Obtains patient history and chief complaint
Obtain lab specimens, give injections, draw blood, and perform routine medical tests
Make referral appointments
Provide patient education
Call in prescription per PA/FNP/MD orders
Performs light housekeeping chores
Maintains an adequate inventory of medication supplies
