Role overview: We are looking for a compassionate, resilient, and intuitive individual to support students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). In this role, you will be the bridge between the world and a student who communicates through touch, sound, and movement. You won't just be an educator; you will be a caregiver, a communication partner, and a tireless advocate for our most vulnerable learners.

Job Responsibility:

  • Sensory Education: Facilitate learning through multi-sensory experiences, including sensory stories, hydrotherapy, and music therapy
  • Specialist Communication: Use and develop non-verbal communication tools such as Makaton, PECS, and Objects of Reference to give students a voice
  • Holistic Care: Provide dignified support with personal care, including toileting, dressing, and feeding (including PEG/Tube feeding where required)
  • Physical Management: Safely assist with mobility and positioning using hoists, standing frames, and specialized seating
  • Medical Support: Monitor the health and well-being of students, including the management of epilepsy and other complex medical needs (full training provided)
