Job Description:

The position holder may be required to perform deliveries using a flatbed trailer or a curtain-side trailer, including the safe and secure fastening of the cargo.

Job Responsibility:

Perform deliveries using a flatbed trailer or a curtain-side trailer, including the safe and secure fastening of the cargo
Perform deliveries and pickups for various customers within the assigned territory
Assist, when required, with loading or unloading freight manually or using equipment (pallet jack)
Secure freight using straps and load bars to ensure stability and safety during transport
Ensure deliveries and pickups match customer orders and that freight is not damaged
Use a mobile device to obtain and share required information related to pickups and deliveries
Complete the daily inspection report after performing vehicle checks and when an issue is detected during a trip
Perform any other related tasks as required

Requirements:

Hold a Class 1 FM driver’s license
Road train (LCV) license (an asset)
Be autonomous
Have good organizational skills

Maintaining good communication with the transport office with regards to issues or delays
