Requirements

An insurance qualification such as CII or equivalent, although study support is available
Experience of end to end caseload management
Be able to prioritise claims, acting upon instruction and SLA’s and be comfortable in a KPI target environment
Able to demonstrate knowledge and/or awareness of FSA procedures and the TCF initiative
Maintain awareness of Business Continuity programme and role within it
Excellent customer service, organisational & communication skills

Job Responsibility

Manage own caseload of Liability claims
Work in partnership with an assigned Liability Adjuster on more complex claims
Gather all relevant evidence and understand full details of policy cover
Negotiation of settlement and managing pushbacks to swift resolution
Liaise with any third parties involved with the claim

Proven ability to handle the full range of EL / PL and Product liability claims including claims involving third party property damage
extensive experience of writing investigation reports
extensive knowledge of the insurance market
extensive technical knowledge within the adjusting arena
understanding of Client SLA compliance/productivity/quality requirements
proven proficient working knowledge of scoping software and handheld device use
good negotiation skills
ideally ACII/LLB or working towards these qualifications, however, candidates who are qualified by experience are welcome to apply

providing support and advice on claims issues to policyholders within specified timeframes

managing client relationships through delivery of SLAs and KPIs
liaising with colleagues within different business areas for thorough claim processes
removing hurdles to resolve issues and ensuring swift settlement/denial whenever possible

Requirements

An experienced claims handler, confident handling property and liability claims
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise work efficiently to Service Level Agreements whilst ensuring high attention to detail
Broad Experience of Property (Commercial and Domestic
Employer’s Liability and Public Liability claims is essential
Motor experience is preferred but not essential
Cert CII/CILA (or is prepared to work towards this qualification)
Proficient in Microsoft products (namely Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Job Responsibility
