Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Claims Examiner to join our team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in managing insurance claims, ensuring billing accuracy, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires on-site attendance and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your skills to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

Open and process new claim files, ensuring all necessary details are gathered and routed appropriately
review coverage details, make adjustments to billing, and issue invoices to customers or insurance carriers in the U.S. and Canada
respond to incoming inquiries related to billing, collections, or disputes, and update claim files promptly
maintain and update billing and aging reports while achieving individual productivity goals
document all actions taken on claims thoroughly and escalate complex or high-risk accounts as needed
deliver attentive and courteous service to customers, insurers, and internal teams
perform additional claim or billing-related tasks as assigned by your supervisor
utilize relevant systems and tools, including EHR platforms like Epic Software and athenahealth, to streamline claim processing
collaborate with team members to ensure seamless workflow and adherence to organizational standards.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
some college coursework is a plus
proven experience in office environments, preferably in high-volume settings
proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic Software, athenahealth, and Cerner Technologies
strong communication skills paired with basic math, time management, and decision-making abilities
ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy
knowledge of appeals, benefit functions, billing procedures, and collection processes
experience in claim administration and insurance follow-up tasks.
