Job Description:

Pertemps are recruiting for a Child Protection Lead Practitioner in Newcastle.

Job Responsibility:

  • make decisions when considering thresholds of need and risk of harm to children and support practitioners in their work with children and families relating to Child Protection processes and thresholds
  • chair Strategy Meetings, Child Protection Conferences and other meetings as necessary
  • coach, mentor and provide support, guidance and direction to practitioners across the Children’s Services system (both Council led delivery services and external partners) relating to risk of significant harm to children

Requirements:

over 3 years experience of complex social work with children and families, which has included child protection work
