Job Description:

Manages daily kitchen utility operations and staff, including dish room operations, night cleaning, banquet plating, and food running. Supervises kitchen employees not actively engaged in cooking. Ensures compliance with food safety and sanitation standards while striving to improve guest and employee satisfaction. Responsibilities include ordering supplies, managing payroll, scheduling employees, and interacting with vendors and Health Department representatives. Provides leadership to achieve departmental goals, including operational, financial, and customer service objectives.

Job Responsibility:

Orders and manages necessary supplies
ensures employees maintain required food handling and sanitation certifications
supervises dishroom shift operations
coordinates banquet plating and food running with Banquet Chef and Banquet Maitre'd
purchases appropriate supplies and manages inventories according to budget
supervises and manages employees
manages all day-to-day operations
participates in the employee performance appraisal process
ensures compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards and procedures
empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
4 years experience in the procurement, food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
2 years experience in the procurement, food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
