Job Description:

Manages all engineering/maintenance operations, including maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection; responsible for budgeting, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation; maintains regulatory requirements and leads the emergency response team for facility issues; belongs to a diverse and inclusive environment as part of Marriott International and AC Hotels brands known for their attention to detail and hospitality

Job Responsibility:

Managing all engineering/maintenance operations, including maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant
managing and conducting human resources activities
supervising Engineering in the absence of the Director of Engineering
assisting in managing the physical plant, including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems
maintaining and operating equipment at optimum effectiveness, efficiency and safety
establishing and managing an effective rooms maintenance program
ensuring compliance with all Engineering departmental policies, standards and procedures
managing departmental controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals
selecting and ordering equipment, supplies, and furnishings
inspecting and evaluating the physical condition of facilities to determine work required
recommending or arranging additional services like painting, repair work, and renovations
handling guest problems and complaints effectively
creating a positive atmosphere for guest relations

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
4 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area
technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing
2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major
2 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area
technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing
