Job Description:

The Chef de Partie at Courtyard by Marriott Melaka will prepare special meals, regulate cooking equipment temperatures, monitor prepared food quality, and assist management with hiring and training. This role is essential for maintaining service quality and supporting the team to achieve their goals.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards
inform chef of excess food items for daily specials
maintain food logs
develop positive working relationships with others
ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
anticipate and address guest service needs
ensure quality expectations are met.

Requirements:

Prepare special meals or substitute items
regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared
inform food & beverage staff of menu specials and out of stock items
assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, and counseling employees
follow company and safety policies
maintain cleanliness and professional appearance
anticipate and address guests' service needs
ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
minimum education in technical, trade, or vocational school degree
at least 3 years of related work experience.
