Join a renounced hospitality group. Following the success of the Flinders Lane original, this new outpost of our opulent Venetian-style steakhouse makes its home in one of the city’s most significant architectural icons. Reimagining the Grill Americano concept especially for Sydney, the restaurant is a vision of grandeur and glamour, showcasing a lauded wine program, and ever-evolving menus centred around the kitchen’s prized wood oven and Josper grill. We are looking for the industry’s best chefs to join our opening team in Sydney this October on a full-time basis. Opportunities available: Chef de Partie, Commis Chef.

Requirements:

  • Chef experience in a premium a-la-carte restaurant
  • Experience with Italian cuisine is advantageous
  • Management candidates must have solid understanding of management practices and financial budgets/targets
  • Exemplary leadership with focus on staff development
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a high-performing team
  • Highly adaptable and able to perform in high-pressure service periods
  • Solid understanding of food safety standards
  • Proven ability in building effective relationships
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Experience using Deputy (or similar Time & Attendance system), H&L, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication and presentation
  • Able and willing to work weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

Nice to have:

Experience with Italian cuisine is advantageous
