Job Description:

In Customer Relations at IKEA, the Checkout Services Team Leader ensures a positive payment experience for customers and develops co-workers to support efficient operations in the check-out area of a fast-paced retail environment, contributing to overall customer satisfaction, business growth, and fostering the IKEA culture.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure check-out area is in shape as new
ensure check-outs are efficiently equipped at all times
support check-out co-workers to resolve customer needs
deal positively and quickly with customer issues
manage queuing policy and waiting times
guide customers
conduct spot checks
ensure store is a safe and secure environment
act on customer feedback to improve services
work with manager to resolve recurring customer problems
collaborate with colleagues in other functions to implement customer satisfaction improvements
educate team on IKEA Concept and manuals
take ownership of check-out action plan
ensure right number of co-workers are in place
support colleagues
pass knowledge to colleagues
ensure colleagues are informed for effective roles
responsible for self-development
follow daily and weekly service targets.

Requirements:

Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and an ability to adjust the style of communication to get the message across to the receiver
confident decision-maker
experience of check-out service gained in the retail industry preferred
proven ability to work as part of a larger team and prioritize and organize work and the work of others
ability to plan staffing of cash line according to the customer flow
motivated by IKEA values
passionate about growing business and people together
desire to learn and improve skills.
