Job Description:

A client of mine, a growing property finance business specialising in short-term lending to developers, traders, and investors, is looking to speak with a qualified Chartered Surveyor to join their in-house team. With a current loan book exceeding £50m and ambitious plans to reach £100m by the end of 2026, this is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute MRICS professional to join at a pivotal stage in the company’s growth.

Job Responsibility:

deliver internal desktop and site-based valuations in line with RICS standards
evaluate project feasibility, including cost analysis and GDV forecasts
review and analyse third-party valuation reports
provide detailed, structured recommendations on lending risks and opportunities
support asset management and workout strategies for distressed loans
stay up to date with market trends and valuation best practices
ensure compliance with internal policy and Red Book standards

Requirements:

MRICS Chartered Surveyor
5+ years’ experience (minimum 3 years post-qualification)
experience in valuation for lending, development, or investment
strong understanding of the residential and commercial property markets
excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills
confident conducting both field inspections and desktop assessments
collaborative, commercially minded, and detail-oriented

Nice to have:

prior experience in bridging or development finance
